  After making an appt for the same day, I enquired if the doctor was running on time. I was advised that yes, he was. So I was pretty annoyed to be waiting 40 mins past my appt time, no apologies from him either. After telling him my symptoms and guess that I had conjunctivitis, he sits there and reads off a webpage that looked like Google Doctor and was more focused on his note taking then to engage with me as a patient. He takes an eye swab for pathology, gives me the specimen to hand over to QML (door across from his office) and it's closed!!! No pathology in the area open on a Saturday afternoon. Speaking to my sister who is a lab technician, she advised me that there should have been no reason for me to handle the specimen and it should have been kept at the medical centre for pathology to collect it so that it stayed in its idea environment to prevent the cells from dying before being tested. In all an absolute waste of an afternoon, still in extreme discomfort with no idea what it wrong with me and now I have to wait until Monday for my regular doctor so that I can have another go at another test so that correct treatment can begin.
